EXACOMPTE - Chartered Accountants & Statutory Auditors in Mauritania
An International Vision, Strong Local Roots
EXACOMPTE is a Mauritanian firm of chartered accountants and statutory auditors, founded in Nouakchott in 2009 and led by Managing Partner Mohamed Lemine Bedy, a Certified Public Accountant with over 21 years of experience. Our team of around fifteen professionals has built, over more than 18 years, a track record of more than 260 engagements for over 90 clients spanning more than 20 industries - from banking and telecommunications to fisheries, mining, hydrocarbons and international development.
EXACOMPTE combines statutory audit of banking institutions under the prudential requirements of the Central Bank of Mauritania, assignments for state-owned industrial and commercial enterprises in ports, civil aviation, water and gas distribution and postal services, and engagements with industrial groups in cement, mechanical engineering and agri-food. EXACOMPTE also regularly delivers on projects financed by international donors - the World Bank, the European Union and Germany's development bank - across digital connectivity, public governance and rural development, work that demands the same rigor and reporting discipline expected on any internationally financed program.
EXACOMPTE is registered with Mauritania's national order of chartered accountants. Since 2026, it has been the Mauritanian member firm of Reanda International - extending its reach to the network's standards and resources while keeping the on-the-ground expertise that international clients rely on to navigate Mauritania with confidence.
MAURITANIA: A COUNTRY IN ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION
Mauritania is entering a new economic cycle, anchored in:
- Major natural resources - mineral reserves, oil and gas fields, and one of Africa's largest iron ore deposits
- A pioneering role in West African green hydrogen, backed by a dedicated legal framework (the Green Hydrogen Code)
- An expanding mining sector under a continuously evolving Mining Code
- Growing foreign investment in telecommunications, infrastructure, construction and mining
- A technical, fast-moving regulatory environment where local expertise is not optional - it is the difference between a compliant project and a costly misstep
