CEO of Reanda International visited Cyprus

From 20 - 22 June, Mr. Franklin Lau, CEO of Reanda International, conducted a visit to HTT Audit Limited, the correspondent firm in Cyprus. A working meeting was held with Mr. Adonis Theocharides, Mr. Phivos Theocharides and Mr. Charilaos Hadjiioannou, the partners of the firm to discuss potential business opportunities within the Network.

During the stay in Cyprus, Mr. Lau and the Cyprus partners also met with local government officials and representatives of local regulatory body of professional accountants as well as the business organization.

On 20 June, the Reanda delegation was honored to meet with Mr. Marios Ieronymides, Ambassador of the Cyprus Diplomatic Office at its office located at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, Cyprus. In addition to the presentation about the missions and development of Reanda International delivered by Mr. Lau, Ambassador Ieronymides and the Reanda delegation engaged in gracious discussions on the latest development of Cyprus's business activities in Europe and Asia. In light of the opportunities and potentials posed by the forces of globalization and the growth momentum of Asia, Ambassador Ieronymides encouraged Reanda Network's continuous involvement in strengthening the ties between the business enterprises and accounting firms in Cyprus and Asian countries.

On 21 June, the Reanda delegation met with Mr. Phidias Pilides, President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry. At the meeting, introduction has been made by both parties and the recent development of the local Chinese conglomerates was also discussed.

Later that day the Reanda delegation had meeting with Mr. Kyriakos Iordanou, the General Manager of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Mr. Lau presented a brief overview of Reanda International's history, mission and the achievement. The presentation was followed by an interactive dialogue between the two parties on the latest development of the accounting industry in Cyprus.

This visit to Cyprus afforded the CEO the opportunity to network with the Cyprus correspondent to better understand their recent development and priorities for the year. Additionally, the meetings with the representatives of the Cyprus Diplomatic Office, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the ICPAC were indeed valuable occasions to share the insights and learnings of our respective bodies. We believe that, with Reanda International's presence through HTT Audit Limited as the first network firm in Europe, Reanda International shall accelerate its role to assist enterprises doing business in the continents of Europe and Asia.

HTT Audit Limited was promoted from correspondent to full member after the approval by the Board during the Reanda International Board meeting on 29 June 2012.
