From 18-21 July 2017, Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui and CEO Mr. Franklin Lau of Reanda International visited Cyprus to attend the Grand Opening Ceremony of the new office of Reanda Cyprus held on 19 July 2017. During the trip, Mr. Huang and Mr. Lau also visited the Cyprus member firm and paid courtesy visits to meet with local government officials, representatives of the business organizations, client offices together with the Cyprus partners.
In the afternoon of 18 July, a working meeting was held with the Cyprus team directors Mr. Adonis Theocharides, Mr. Phivos Theocharides, and Mr. Charilaos Hadjiioannou of the firm, to discuss potential business opportunities within the network as well as the recent job referrals relating to Reanda Cyprus.
The day of 19 July began with a courtesy visit to the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus led by Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui. Mr. Huang, Mr. Franklin Lau and the three Cyprus team partners were honored to meet with Mr. Wang Yaping, the Minister Counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus. The Reanda team engaged in discussions with Counsellor Mr. Wang Yaping on the latest development of Chinese's business activities in Cyprus.
In the evening of that day, Mr. Huang and Mr. Lau attended the Grand Opening Ceremony of the new office of Reanda Cyprus. Other than the representatives from Reanda International Beijing headquarter and Reanda International HK administrative office, some 170 guests in attendance at the much-anticipated Grand Opening included Counsellor Mr. Wang Yaping, other government officials, business leaders, industry luminaries, clients in Cyprus, representatives from Chinese enterprise in Cyprus as well as Reanda member firms from Malta and Nepal.
In the morning of 20 July, the Reanda delegation had meeting with Mr. Kyriakos Iordanou, the general manager of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Mr. Huang presented a brief overview of Reanda International's history, mission and the achievement. The presentation was followed by an interactive dialogue between the two parties on the latest development of the accounting industry in Cyprus. Chairman Mr. Huang, being the Council Member of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants, indicated the network’s commitment in participating in facilitating the mutual collaboration of the accounting professional between China and Cyprus. Mr. Huang also presented about the establishment of the Reanda International Taxation and Finance Training Centre in 2015 to nurture international business talents. Both parties discussed potential opportunities in exploring cooperation in the areas of nurturing international talents through the ACCA programme.
Later that day, the Reanda delegation met with Mr. Phidias Pilides, President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI). At the meeting, introduction has been made by both parties and the recent development of the local Chinese conglomerates was also discussed. Furthermore, Chairman Mr. Huang, being the Executive Committee Member of the All China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), introduced to Mr. Phidias Pilides about the latest development of the ACFIC while indicating the network’s commitment in participating in facilitating the mutual collaboration of the business chambers between China and Cyprus.
The remainder of the afternoon included a visit to meet with the senior executives from the Huawei Technologies (Cyprus) Co. Ltd. Mr. Li Zheng and Mr. Nikolaos Lazaris, General Manager and Vice-General Manager of Huawei respectively, warmly welcomed the Reanda delegates. Both the representatives of Huawei and the Reanda delegates exchanged ideas and views on facilitating Chinese enterprises to conduct business in the Cyprus.
Such visits promoted the Reanda profile in Cyprus and created a brilliant opportunity in assisting our member to get connected with the Chinese enterprises for identifying business prospects. While Reanda International will continue to spare no efforts in supporting the business development of Reanda Cyprus and other network firms, the network will also further intensify its member’s presence in Mediterranean, North African and mid-Asian countries through our hub in Cyprus in the near future.
