From 19 to 22 July 2019, a Reanda International delegation of four led by Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui including the CEO Mr. Franklin Lau and personnel from the Beijing headquarters visited Italy. During the trip, the team paid courtesy visits to the Chinese embassies, professional associations and Chinese enterprises together with Reanda Italy partners to explore potential cooperation opportunities and further promote the Reanda brand in Italy.
In the morning of 19 July, the Reanda International delegation led by Chairman Huang along with managing partner Mr. Marco Rigobon, partner Ms. Alessandra Bitetti and China desk offer Ms. Chen Pei of Reanda Italy paid courtesy visit to meet with Minister Counsellor Mr. Li Shaofeng of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Milan. Mr. Huang introduced the background of Reanda International and shared the successful cases of Reanda overseas members in serving Chinese clients in their respective countries. After listening to the presentation of Mr. Huang, Counsellor Li highlighted the growing numbers of Chinese enterprises investing in Italy after the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between China and Italy on the Belt and Road cooperation. Counsellor Li also indicated the challenges faced by these Chinese enterprises and their needs for professional services in Italy. Mr. Marco Rigobon expressed that the firm would proactively explore different ways to support Chinese enterprises investing in Italy.
It was followed by a visit to the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), representative office in Milan to meet with Deputy Chief Representative Mr. Yao Lujie of the council. Mr. Yao introduced the functions of the CCPIT and the Chinese business activities in Italy. The Reanda International delegation learnt that there were 600 Chinese enterprises registered in Italy currently. Reanda Italy partners expressed keen interest in strengthening ties with CCPIT and joining as a member of the association.
Later that afternoon, the Reanda International delegation visited the Bank of China Milan branch to meet with the branch’s president Mr. Jiang Xu who is also the president of the Chinese Enterprises Association in Italy. Chairman Huang highlighted that many of the member firms of Reanda International had been collaborating with overseas branches of Bank of China. A number of issues were discussed by both parties, including but not limited to the potential services to be provided to the local Chinese enterprises in Italy.
The day ended by a working meeting with the partners of Reanda Italy in their Milan head office. Managing partner Mr. Rigobon explained the development plan of the firm and the firm’s recent expansion with new team in Rome, which would definitely strengthen the service capacity of the firm.
On 22 July, Chairman Mr. Huang visited the Rome branch office of Reanda Italy with Mr. Rigobon and Ms. Bitetti to have a working meeting with Mr. Amedeo Vittucci, Mr. Reberto Dominicis and Mr. Angelo Trementozzi, partners of the newly joined Rome team of Reanda Italy. The meeting discussed various topics including but not limited to Italy’s securities market, independency of audit and consulting.
In the afternoon, as led by Chairman Mr. Huang, the partners of Reanda Italy including Mr. Rigobon, Ms. Bitetti and Mr. Vittucci paid a courtesy visit to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor’s Office of the Chinese Embassy in Rome to meet with Minister Counsellor Mr. Li bin. Both parties engaged in a interactive discussion about opportunities in servicing Chinese clients in Italy. During the meeting, Counsellor Li expressed his appreciation on Reanda’s continuing efforts in achieving internalization and providing professional services to the Chinese enterprises investing in Italy. He also encouraged Reanda Italy to actively explore business opportunities from servicing both the Chinese and Italian enterprises.
Such a fruitful visit indeed bolstered the profile of Reanda Italy while created a brilliant opportunity in assisting our member to get connected with the Chinese enterprises. Reanda International will continue to devote resources and effort to link our members up with the embassy, Chinese business associations as well as the local Chinese enterprises for identifying business prospects.
