Mr. L.L. Koong, Director of Reanda International, was Named One of the World Outstanding Young Leaders

Mr. L.L. Koong, director of Reanda International and managing partner of Reanda Malaysia was named one of the 10 World’s Outstanding Young Leaders. The World’s Outstanding Young Leader Award is a highly-prestigious award given by Yazhou Zhoukan, one of the most popular Chinese language international affairs newsweekly.

The award ceremony was held at Reanda Hongkong Hotel in Hong Kong on 25 April 2019 in conjunction with celebrating 31^st Anniversary of the said magazine.

This award is given to the young leaders from around the world that have exemplify the best in leadership and contributed immensely in their respective countries and societies.

Mr. LL Koong is one of the leading expert in accounting and taxation field in Malaysia.  Apart from his professional works, he is also devoted himself to numerous NGOs across the country to share his immense knowledge to benefit SMEs in Malaysia.

Over the years, he has served multiple social positions, such as National Council Member of the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), Head of Taxation Taskforce cum Deputy Chairman of ACCCIM Commerce and SMEs Committee; Vice President of the Federation of Hakka Association of Malaysia and President of its Youth Section; Member of the Task Force on Banking and Insurance Services, Central Bank of Malaysia; Overseas Committee member of Overseas Exchange Association of Guangdong Province, China; Advisory Board Member of Secretariat for the Advancement of Malaysian Entrepreneurs (SAME), Prime Minister’s Department; Board member & Audit Committee Chairman of SME Corp Malaysia, Ministry of Entrepreneur Development Malaysia; Council Member of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) & Chairman of its Membership Committee; ACCCIM Representative to GST and SST Technical Committee, Royal Malaysian Customs, etc.

During his tenure as a president of the Federation of Hakka Association of Malaysia Youth Section, Mr. Koong was enthusiastic to develop youths and cultivate their leadership skills. He actively led the Hakka youths in participating to the local and International economy and cultural exchange activities.

He is a highly dedicated and energized young leader, he managed to demonstrate his excel leadership when he was elected as Head Delegate of the 5^th Chinese Economy Senior Training Course for Overseas Chinese Young Entrepreneurs in University of Jinan, Province Guangdong, China. Mr. Koong was also the first person in receiving "2011 the World Top 10 Outstanding Overseas Chinese of Guangdong Origin” from Malaysia.

Mr. Koong has been appointed as the Board of Director and Advisor of government agencies for SMEs matters. He is also a prominent speakers in Malaysia and was frequently approached by local and international media to give his professional views and advises focusing on SMEs issues, National Budget, Tax Policies, and other related issues.

He is also an international accredited speaker. He is regularly invited to speak at numerous international symposiums sharing his hand on professional experience, such as in the events that were organized by Chinese Business Chamber of Mauritius, the Institute of Chartered Accountants Indian – Western India Regional Council, Institute of Financial Accountants in Hong Kong, and etc. He had been invited by local and international universities including Xiamen University of China, University of Tunku Abdul Rahman of Malaysia (UTAR) and etc, to share and deliberate with experts, scholars and students on the economy issues, international situation and SMEs development.

Mr. Koong is the author of taxation books i.e. “Be taxwise, Be rich!” 2012, & 2013 version of which was listed as one of the top 10 Best Seller Book of Chinese professional taxation books in Kinokuniya Bookstore in Malaysia. He is also the author of “New Age GST!” 2014, “New Age GST-Simplified Version” 2014 & “Old Master Q and GST!” 2015.

Mr. Koong is committed to fulfil his social duty. He has been appointed as auditors in a variety of charities, i.e. “Hope & Smile” charity fundraising project organised by world professional badminton player, Datuk Lee Chong Wei for the earthquake-tsunami victims in Japan. He is also appointed as the Chief of Selection Panel of Sin Chew Education Fund by Sin Chew Daily, the leading Chinese language newspaper in the country.

In grateful appreciation for his significant contributions to the country and the society, Mr. Koong was awarded Ahli Setia Negeri Sembilan (“ANS”) by His Royal Highness Yang Dipertuan Besar of Malaysian State of Negeri Sembilan (namely “LOYAL MEMBER OF THE STATE” by the King) in year 2005; Honorable Major of the People’s Volunteer Corps, RELA in 2011; and Justice of Peace (“JP”) by Yang di-Pertua Negeri Melaka, Malaysia (Ceremonial Head of State of the Malaysian State of Malacca) in 2012.

Mr. Koong is a passionate believer in the sharing of knowledge with others. It’s part of what drives him to keep committed himself to pass on his experience and specialization in rendering advisory and consultancy to business community, clans, Chinese businessmen and SMEs. Over the years, this commitment is what drives him in his current role and has shaped his reputation and recognized leader in the country.
