The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) has held its 75th Annual General Meeting on 24th July 2021 and elected the 75th – 77th (2021-2024) office bearers. Mr L L Koong, Managing Partner of Reanda Malaysia was appointed as Honorary Treasurer General besides being elected as member of its national council.
Founded in 1921, ACCCIM is the apex body of Malaysian Chinese business community. It has 17 Constituent Chambers throughout Malaysia, representing more than 100,000 Chinese businesses, entrepreneurs and trade associations. ACCCIM is well recognized by the Malaysian government and various organisations. It is also member of the Advisory Committee of World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention (WCEC). ACCCIM organized the 7th WCEC in 2013 with over 3,300 participants from various countries, originally it will held the 16th WCEC in 2021 concurrent with its centennial celebration. However, the convention was postponed to 2022 due to the pandemic.
