Reanda Hong Kong has welcomed a new director Mr. Tony Chiu to bolster its advisory practice.
Tony possesses more than 35 years of experience working in various leadership positions in strategy consulting and financial services for some of the world’s top-tier multinational corporation and private banks in Hong Kong and Mainland China.
Tony started his career with Arthur Andersen. He was the Head of China Business from 1987 to 1992 and in charge of the initial startup and significant development of Arthur Andersen’s business operations in Mainland China in the late 80’s and early 90’s. In 1992, he became the first General Director for the first overseas joint venture CPA firm in China - Arthur Anderson Hua Qiang Certified Public Accountants and was stationed in Beijing and Shanghai for 9 years.
Leveraged on his established network and expertise in China market, Tony then joined HSBC in Hong Kong in 2001 with mandate of developing offshore private banking business for Mainland China Market. Before establishing his own business venture in consulting in 2015, Tony worked at RBS Coutts as Executive Director and Head of China Private Banking and Credit Suisse as Director and Team Head for management and direct client servicing for clients in the Mainland China market.
Drawing from his previous private banking and wealth management experiences, Tony has a keen eye in identifying pertinent needs of investors and projects, especially the ever-increasing interest of investment outside China. He offers credible solutions in facilitating investors’ initial background reviews and screening, enabling referrals with higher chance of successful matching and completion of deals, whether equity or project financing, business development and M&As in nature, into the U.S., UK/EU, Asia-Pacific and other parts of the world.
Tony is a qualified CPA in Hong Kong and the UK and is specialized in investment, M&A and Family Office advisory services, tax planning, financing solutions as well as overseas trust advisory services.
