Reanda International Annual Conference 2015 in Xi’an China

Reanda International's 2015 Annual Conference was held on 26-27 November, 2015 at the Bradley Hotel in Xi’an China, one of the Four Great Ancient Capitals of China. The conference this year, well received by some 100 delegates from 21 Reanda International network firms making the highest attended as ever, was a roaring success.

As inspired by the vision of Chinese government’s "One Belt, One Road" initiative aiming to advocates the Silk Road spirit of peaceful cooperation, mutual learning, mutual benefits and win-win results, the conference theme of Reanda International this year was "Reanda’s one belt one road, interact and propel". It was an initiative dedicated to assist all members to achieve international business growth through fostering closer interaction and strengthening regional and multilateral communication with their fellow members propelling along Reanda’s route. “Reanda’s Belt and Road” vision laid down our roadmap of developing strong and complete networking in all geographical locations so that our members will be able to harness the connections and resources for working together to win international business. Xi’an, the eastern departure point of the Silk Road, has long been an important crossroads for people from throughout China. Having our conference held in Xi’an this year was indeed extremely meaningful.

The annual conference was not only an important annual event to provide networking and learning opportunities, but also offered opportunities for members to discuss strategy and look at future collaboration. This year the structure for the annual conference allowed plenty of time for interaction amongst members. This new terrific format we trialed was strongly endorsed by our members.

On 26 November 2015, the conference commenced with a welcome speech and presentation by Mr. Franklin Lau, the CEO of Reanda International about helpful tips for achieving successful job referrals and related case sharing with all network firms. This was followed by presentations by Reanda Korea, Reanda Hong Kong and Russia about the sharing of their respective successful referral stories and the wrap-up by Mr. Huang Jinhui, the Chairman of Reanda International. All the presentations provoked lively, intriguing and insightful discussion about the best practice bid management and frameworks used to win.

In the afternoon, the conference was further brimmed with presentations from Reanda China, Reanda Japan and Reanda Korea about their proposed collaboration and interaction with fellow members, followed by lively discussion after their respective presentations.

The conference was continued with a signing ceremony to admit Cabinet APEX Audit as the network's new Madagascar member firm and to welcome UK firm Grunberg & Co to join Reanda International. In addition, the Reanda mobile application and the “Doing Business Guide in China” publication have also been soft launched during the conference. Indeed, social networking will be an important focus of Reanda ’s digital strategy during 2016. Reanda International plans to be at the forefront of these developments to help extend the reach and facilitate the interaction amongst our network firms. First phase of the mobile application with the publication, directory and the “following and follower” features is expected to go live in December 2015. Meanwhile, the Doing Business in China guide, to be launched in early 2016, will definitely familiarize our fellow members and clients with the nitty-gritty of doing business in China. Reanda International is very thrilled about these latest initiatives as we believe it will improve communication channels and knowledge sharing as well as further strengthen our key brand values of collaboration.

The day one conference was rounded out by a networking cocktail reception with red wine and a variety of seasonal delicacies where the Reanda delegates had a brilliant opportunity to mix and mingle with each others. At night, all delegates were invited to join a gourmet gala dinner hosted by Reanda International and opened by Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui at the famous Xi’an restaurant which serves authentic Shaanxi cuisine with grand tradition.

On 27 November 2015, preceded by the board meeting of Reanda International, the conference was opened by the address of the Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui followed by a report delivered by Mr. LL Koong, Chairman of the International Tax Panel (ITP) about the development of the International Tax Panel over the past year. The ITP was gaining momentum with a number of initiatives already underway. The conference was continued with Mr. Franklin Lau’s presentation about the network's “One Belt One Road” initiative and the performance of 2015, strategies and initiatives for 2016. The highlight of the conference also included presentations and discussion of members firms about their proposed ideas on the future collaborations with their fellow members and sharing on success cases of international cooperation.

On 28 November 2015, the conference ended with a full day sightseeing tour of the Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses, the eighth wonder of the ancient world and the Huaqing Palace.

Upon arrival to Xi’an, all representatives from all network firms were invited by Reanda China to join the 22nd anniversary gala dinner hosted by the firm at the Hotel on 25 November 2015.
