Reanda International hosted the 4th Belt and Road Business Services Forum in Beijing, China

On 21 December 2020, the 4th Belt and Road Business Services Forum hosted by Reanda International was held at the Lijingwan International Hotel in Beijing, China. The Forum was well attended by over 300 delegates including distinguished guests such as current and former officials from the offices of Chinese embassies abroad, government officials, industry leaders, representatives of various business organisations, entrepreneurs, Reanda clients, media outlets as well as Reanda International member firms around the globe, either joining in-person in Beijing or joining virtually.

The Forum themed “Stay Growth, Let’s Leap Post-Pandemic”, was commenced with opening remarks by honorable guests Mr. Liu Shanzai, former deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation and former deputy director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR; Mr. Ji Mingbo, former secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; Mr. Su Yong, vice chairman of Beijing Federation of Overseas Chinese and Mr. Quan Shunji, president of China-Asia Economic Development Association. In the first thematic breakout session, Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui of Reanda International, delivered a keynote speech about the new exploration of Reanda International amidst the pandemic and in the post-pandemic era. Honorable guests Mr. Tian Deyou, former minister counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese embassy in the USA; Mr. Zhu Guosheng, deputy director of the Finance Department of China Nonferrous Mining (Group) Co., Ltd. also delivered the keynote speech. The Forum was continued by special remark by honorable guest Mr. Li Yuguo, chairman of the Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Wang Yaping, chairman of Accounting Society for Foreign Economic Relations & Trade of China; former China Economic and Commercial counsellor in Cyprus spoke at the second breakout session about the challenges and opportunities for the overseas development of overseas enterprises under the pandemic. It was then followed by a speech from Mr. Zhang Fan, minister counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese embassy in Nepal about the responses to the impact of pandemic and suggestions on active facilitation of China-Nepal cooperation while Mr. Wang Xiaoyong, vice president secretary general of China-Africa Civil Chamber of Commerce shared his insights about the importance of cross-border business service organisations for Chinese enterprises going global. The Forum was further brimmed by the presentations from Reanda Nepal and Indonesia about the challenges and business opportunities brought by COVID-19 in their respective countries. This session was wrapped up by the sharing from Mr. Lu Mai, executive vice chairman of China Development Research Foundation.

The Forum continued with the third breakout session with presentations by Prof. Wu Yuhua, vice president of Shanghai Zhangjiang InnoPark Development Company on global blockchain and smart city construction; Ms. Chen Lihong, chief accountant of Kuang Zheng Certified Public Accountants sharing how digital economy gives impetus in promoting the Belt and Road Initiative. The Forum was further highlighted with presentations by Reanda Germany, Egypt and UAE on the impacts of COVID-19 in their respective countries.

The fourth breakout session, commenced with remarks by Mr. Jin Xu, chairman of China Association of International Trade, former minister counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in the UK about the current economic situation of some major countries. It was then followed by key presentations from Mr. Liu Xiaoqiang, director of International Training Department of Shanghai National Accounting Institute/Asia Pacific Institute of Finance and Development on how accounting facilitates the promotion of Belt and Road Initiative. In this session, Reanda UK and Netherlands also delivered presentations focusing on the new challenges and opportunities in their respective countries and how to respond in the post pandemic era. The Forum was wrapped up by Mr. Ding Pingzhun, former vice-president and secretary general of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants .

During the Forum, a grand signing ceremony was also held to welcome new firms from Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and South Africa to join Reanda International.
