Reanda International hosted the 5th Belt and Road Business Services Forum in Beijing, China

On 19 December 2021, the 5th Belt and Road Business Services Forum co-hosted by Reanda International and China-Africa Business Council was held at the Lijingwan International Hotel in Beijing, China. The Forum was well attended by over 360 delegates including distinguished guests such as current and former officials from the offices of Chinese embassies abroad, government officials, industry leaders, representatives of various business organisations, entrepreneurs, Reanda clients, media outlets as well as Reanda International member firms around the globe, either joining in-person in Beijing or joining virtually.

Themed "Promoting Greater Global Economic Integration", the forum is aimed at providing a platform to explore how business service organisations can better assist Chinese enterprises in their efforts to go outbound and invest in the Belt and Road amid pandemic so as to promote greater global economic integration. The Forum was commenced with opening remarks by the event organisers Mr. Huang Jinhui, chairman of Reanda International and Mr. Li Kouqing, president of Shanghai National Accounting Institute. It was then followed by the opening address by distinguished guest Mr. Huang Mengfu, vice chairman of the 10th and 11th Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the 9th and 10th All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce.

In the first thematic breakout session, honorable guests Mr. Jiang Zengwei, former vice minister of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce and vice chairman of China Center for International Economic Exchange; Mr. Li Yuguo, chairman of Beijing Institute of Certified Public Accountants and deputy secretary of the CPC Committee; Mr. Chai Haitao, researcher of the Center for International Strategic Studies of China State Council and former president of Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation; Mr. Wang Yaping, researcher of the Center for International Strategic Studies of China State Council, chairman of Accounting Society for Foreign Economic Relations & Trade of China and former counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Cyprus were invited to delivered keynote speeches to share their insights on how to promote “Belt and Road” Initiative under pandemic.

In the second breakout session, a series of grand cooperation agreement signing and launching ceremonies were held, including but not limited to the launching ceremony of “Belt and Road Accounting and Trade Services Development Report 2021” and the recognition ceremony on Reanda International’s admission as member of Forum of Firms (FoF). After a series of signing and launching ceremonies, Mr. Chai Yu, deputy Secretary of Tianjin Hongqiao District committee and district mayor of Hongqiao District, Tianjin, was invited to deliver a speech as the signing representative.

The Forum continued with the third breakout session with presentations by Ms. Chen Lihong, chief accountant of Beijing Kuang Zheng Certified Public Accountants and head of China Desk of JPA International sharing how artificial intelligence would impact in the accounting industry. The Forum was further highlighted with presentations by Reanda Pakistan, Netherlands and Saudi Arabia on their smart solutions to tackle the challenges from pandemic.

The fourth breakout session was the round table discussion on global economic integration under pandemic. The discussion was hosted by Ms. Sandrine Nduwimana, director of International Liaison Department of China-Africa Business Council and distinguished guests are invited to be the panelists of the discussion, including Mr. Chhabindra Parajuli, Minister of Economic of the Embassy of Nepal in China; Mr. Freddie Gaoseb, business counsellor of the Embassy of Namibia in China; Mr. Jin Xu, former minister counsellor for Economic and Commercial Affairs of the Chinese Embassy in the UK and chairman of China Association of International Trade; Mr. Tian Deyou, former minister counsellor of the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese embassy in the USA; Mr. Wang Xiaoyong, vice president and secretary general of China-Africa Business Council as well as Mr. Bharat Rijal, managing partner of Reanda Nepal. During the round table discussion, the guests discussed and shared their insights on “Belt and Road” Initiative, impacts encountered during the pandemic and the respective solutions as well as how businesses may achieve greater development under global economic integration in the post-pandemic era.

The Forum was wrapped up by Mr. Ding Pingzhun, former vice-president and Secretary General of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

During the Forum, a grand signing ceremony was also held to welcome new firms from Thailand, Hungary and Bosnia and Herzegovina to join Reanda International.
