On 29 April 2022, Reanda International organised the “Seminar for Senior Executives of Chinese Enterprises: Dialogue with Economic and Commercial Counsellors” at the Reanda International headquarters in Beijing, China in hybrid format with virtual connection. The seminar, co-organised by China-Africa Business Council and National Advisory Committee of China International Engineering Consulting Association, was well attended by some 200 distinguished guests who joined the seminar virtually or in-person including government officials, former economic and commercial counsellors of various Chinese embassies abroad, senior executives of Chinese enterprises investing overseas, representatives of various business organizations, entrepreneurs, media outlets as well as the China Desk representatives of Reanda International network firms.
The seminar themed “Great Changes Unseen in a Century and Protection of Chinese Enterprises’ Overseas Interests”, aimed to provide a platform for exchange of knowledge, insights and experiences with the former economic and commercial counsellors of various Chinese embassies abroad to discuss the common challenges facing the Chinese enterprises in the aspects of financial, tax and legal when “going abroad” and how the Chinese enterprises could navigate the challenges for success.
The seminar as chaired by Mr. Wang Liyan, Senior Consultant of Reanda China, professor of Accounting at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, was opened with welcome addresses by the Reanda International Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui who gave an overview about Reanda International’s achievements in the past 13 years as well as our continuous efforts with different innovative initiatives amid the complicated international situation to support the “going out” Chinese enterprises by providing all-rounded quality professional services. It was then followed by an opening speech delivered by Mr. Jiang Zengwei, former Vice Minister of Commerce of China.
The seminar continued with the signing ceremonies of strategic cooperation framework agreement with Yonyou Network Technology Co. Ltd and cooperation agreement with Accounting Society for Foreign Economic Relations & Trade of China respectively to explore areas of mutual interests and potential cooperation. Following the signing ceremonies, Ms. Wang Shumin, president of China National Association of Engineering Consultants and former counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Gabon and Morocco, was invited to share her insights the future cooperation between the Association and Reanda International. The seminar was then continued by a series of keynote speeches delivered by distinguished guests as well as representative of Reanda International member firm including Mr. Tian Deyou, former minister counselor of the Economic and Commercial Section of the Chinese Embassy in the United States; Mr. WangXiaoyong, vice president of China-Africa Business Council ; Mr. Wang Yong, senior vice president of Yonyou Network Technology Co. Ltd; Mr. Abdelrahman Safwat Nour El Din, managing partner of Reanda Egyptto speak on various topics including factors to consider for overseas investment by Chinese enterprises in the midst of current world situation, opportunities and challenges for Chinese enterprises in "going out", leveraging digital transformation for global development as well as experiences in serving Chinese clients respectively.
It was then followed by an lively and interactive discussion session about difficulties and challenges encountered by Chinese enterprises in their overseas investment. The former economic and commercial counsellors who participated in this seminar expressed their valuable views in addressing the enquiries raised by the Chinese enterprise representatives from the floor in relating to the difficulties they faced in their overseas operation. The session also discussed how business service organisations may best support the needs of "going out" Chinese enterprises andempower them to navigate challenges for success.
The seminar was wrapped up by the closing remarks given by Mr. Ding Pingzhun, senior advisor of Reanda China, former executive Vice President and Chairman of the Chinese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
