Reanda International Strengthens Ties in Kazakhstan: A Strategic Visit to Almaty and Astana

On 29 – 30 July 2024, a delegation from Reanda International, led by Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui and CEO Mr. Franklin Lau, embarked on a pivotal visit to Almaty and Astana, Kazakhstan. This visit highlights Reanda International's commitment to enhancing its brand presence and fostering partnerships within Kazakhstan, paving the way for future collaborations and growth opportunities with local Chinese enterprises in the Central Asia region.

Signing of MoU on Membership Arrangement with a well-reputed Kazakh CPA firm

On 29 July 2024, the delegation visited Anderson Kazakhstan, Reanda International’s new network firm in Kazakhstan and met with Managing Partner Mr. Kerim Kozhakhmetov, Founding Partner Mr. Bauyrzhan Sakenov, Partners Mr. Yerzhan Tumabekov, Mr. Yermek Lebekov and Ms. Yelena Teslenko. Chairman Mr. Huang signed the MoU on Membership Arrangement with this firm which possesses extensive expertise in audit, tax and corporate finance, particularly in the private equity, oil, shipping, and gas sectors.

CEO Mr. Lau emphasized that the visit aimed to deepen Reanda International's understanding of local operations and enhance service capabilities for local Chinese enterprises. Mr. Kozhakhmetov stressed the importance of strengthening communication with local Chinese enterprises and expressed enthusiasm for seizing new opportunities with Reanda International in Central Asia. Chairman Huang highlighted Kazakhstan's potential as a key player in the Belt and Road Initiative and heal so provided strategic guidance on team development, including the establishment of a China Desk. He urged the firm to leverage local resources to facilitate economic cooperation between China and Kazakhstan and provide comprehensive professional services to local Chinese enterprises.

Engaging with PowerChina Almaty

On 29 July 2024, the delegation visited PowerChina Almaty, where they were warmly received by Commercial Manager Mr. Xu Chuanlong and Finance Manager Mr. Jing Haowei. Chairman Mr. Huang and CEO Mr. Lau showcased Reanda International’s global presence and strengths in providing localised services and fostering international cooperation. Mr. Xu shared the challenges faced by Chinese enterprises abroad and the increasing demand for accounting and tax professionals. Both sides expressed strong interests for long-term cooperation.

Engaging with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China

On 29 July 2024, the delegation met with representatives from the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) in Almaty, including Director Mr. Zhu Ruixi, Deputy Director Mr. Galymzhan, and Manager Ms. Gulshat Zhumanova from the Special Financing and Investment Banking Department. Chairman Mr. Huang and CEO Mr. Lau presented Reanda International’s achievements and capabilities while Mr. Tumabekov, Partner of Reanda International’s network firm in Kazakhstan, introduced the firm’s services tailored for Chinese enterprises. Mr. Zhu praised Reanda International's strategic development and expressed interest in future cooperation with Reanda International to support Chinese investments in Kazakhstan.

Courtesy visit to the Chinese Embassy’s Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office in Kazakhstan

On 30 July 2024, the delegation paid a courtesy visit to the Economic and Commercial Counsellor's Office of the Chinese Embassy in Kazakhstan, where they were warmly received by Minister Counsellor Mr. Su Yu. During the meeting, Chairman Mr. Huang and CEO Mr. Lau presented Reanda International’s global footprint and received valuable insights and guidance from Mr. Su regarding the strengthening ties between China and Kazakhstan. Mr. Su noted the growing number of Chinese investments in Kazakhstan and the limited presence of accounting firms with a chinese background. He encouraged Reanda International to expand its development in Kazakhstan to provide support to local Chinese enterprises.

Engaging with Huawei Technologies

On 30 July 2024, the delegation visited Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan in Astana and met with Deputy General Manager Mr. Xu Hai. The two sides exchanged insights on the development of bilateral relations and the demand for professional services to ensure compliance for businesses operating abroad. They also discussed potential future cooperation directions.

Visiting the Astana International Financial Centre

On 30 July 2024, the delegation concluded their visit by engaging with the Astana International Financial Centre (AIFC) in Astana, where Acting CEO, Mr. Temirlan Mukhanbetzhanov welcomed them. CEO Mr. Lau outlined Reanda International’s strategic objectives, while Mr. Mukhanbetzhanov discussed the promising prospects for collaboration. Chairman Huang proposed a strategic cooperation plan with the AIFC, aiming to leverage Reanda International's global network and expertise to attract more investors, especially from China, to utilize AIFC’s advantages for cross-border financing and business expansion.
