Reanda Nepal, one of the leading accounting firms in Nepal, is pleased to announce that the firm’s partner CA. Bishnu Prasad Bhandari has been elected as council member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) for a three-year term. The election was held on 8 June 2018.
ICAN is the regulatory body of the accounting profession in Nepal. The council as constituted under the Nepal Chartered Accountants Act, 1997 governs the Institute and has the right to regulate accounting profession in the country as conferred by Act. The council consists of 17 members of whom 14 are elected from among the members of the Institute and 3 are nominated by the government of Nepal. The council is elected every three years.
