Signing ceremony to admit Grunberg & Co Limited as the new UK member firm held at ACCA headquarter in London

On 22 June 2016, a signing ceremony to admit Grunberg & Co, the new UK member firm of Reanda International was held at the ACCA Global Headquarter at The Adelphi Building in Central London. The Chairman of Reanda International Mr. Huang Jinhui, on behalf of the network signed the member firm agreement with Mr. David Grunberg, founder and senior partner of Grunberg & Co to ties the knots for the cooperation.

The signing ceremony was opened by welcome remarks from Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui and Mr. Alain Stechler, senior partner of Grunberg & Co, followed by congratulatory speeches by Mr. Stephen Heathcote, executive director – markets of ACCA UK and Mr. Andrew Steele, market director - partnerships & recognition. Both of them encouraged Reanda and Grunberg & Co's continuous and active participation in facilitating the mutual collaboration of business enterprises between China, the UK and other countries in the world. Mr. Franklin Lau, CEO of Reanda International and Mr. Robert Bean, managing partner of Grunberg & Co also delivered speeches respectively and both of them emphasized that this significant cooperation was sealed at the right time, in the right place and with the right people.

The guests of the event witnessing this occasion included Ms. Elizabeth Fehnrich, international trade advisor for UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) of the UK Government department, Mr. Stephen Heathcote, Mr. Andrew Steele, Mr. John Weston, regional head of member advocacy and satisfaction – Europe and the Americas of ACCA, Mr. Huang Liang, director of the Guangdong Tourism Cooperation and Promotion Centre in Britain, Ms. Cheng Jianfang, deputy chief at the Zhongguancun Science Centre (London), Ms. Emma Yin, specialist in Finance and Accounting Department of Sinochem Oil Co., Ltd, Ms. Kelly Lo, Head of Human Resources and Administration of the Changan UK R&D Centre, Ms. Ana Gyorkos and Mr. Vincent Huck, Group Editor and Editor of the International Accounting Bulletin respectively, as well as other associates and clients from Grunberg & Co. The ceremony was also viewed by our other member firms right across the world by live streaming via the arrangement of ACCA to share the joy of this remarkable milestone.

The signing ceremony was followed by a press conference where the managements of both Reanda International and Grunberg & Co shared with the press about the ins and outs of the cooperation. After the press conference, Chairman Mr. Huang Jinhui, CEO Mr. Franklin Lau of Reanda international and the partners from Grunberg & Co participated in an interactive discussion with Mr. Stephen Heathcote, Mr. Andrew Steele and Mr. John Weston in relation to the growth plan of ACCA and Reanda, and aspects of international cooperation particularly how Reanda may leverage on the global network of connections of ACCA when Reanda grows the global network in tune with the roadmap of China’s Belt and Road initiative. The event ended with a tour of the ACCA head office which is a beautiful blend of heritage and modernity, where the Reanda delegates were introduced to the ACCA’s Chief Executive Officer Ms. Helen Brand OBE.

The addition of the UK member firm adds up to a current total of 22 network firms of Reanda International. With the joining of the UK firm during the “Golden Era” of China-Britain ties, we are convinced that Reanda International is opening a new golden chapter as well and marks an important milestone to develop a truly global network for our members and clients.
