On 18 October 2022, the annual Reanda International Middle East and Africa regional meeting was held through video conference and was well attended by some 31 partners and personnel from network firms across Angola, Egypt, Madagascar, Mauritius, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia and UAE from the region as well as the Reanda International Beijing headquarters, Hong Kong administrative office and the regional offices in Germany and Japan.
The meeting, chaired by the Middle East and Africa regional president Mr. Avinash Jagetiya, aims to facilitate mutual collaboration and strengthen the exchanges amongst network firms in the region. During the opening speech, Chairman Mr. Huang highlighted the resilience performance of the regional members during 2022, as well as the strong momentum of referral cases in the Middle East and Africa region. Chairman Mr. Huang also encouraged the establishment of China desks and other international desks by the regional members. Mr. Franklin Lau, CEO of Reanda International, gave an update about the latest development of Reanda International including but not limited to the potential business opportunities in the region, new IT infrastructure enhancement on information exchange between Reanda members as well as the network’s strategic development plan in the 2nd half of 2022. The regional president Mr. Jagetiya continued the meeting by sharing his insights on strengthening the network's presence and development in Middle East and Africa, followed by an informative presentation about the latest development and new major regulatory changes in the UAE.
The meeting was then continued by a fruitful discussion over potential cooperation opportunities amongst network firms within the region. Representatives of Reanda network firms from the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Nigeria respectively shared the latest noteworthy tax development of their respective jurisdictions. Further, partners of Reanda UAE introduced the UAE’s latest business environment and the opportunities bringing to the peripheral regions.
This virtual meeting was a resounding success with great atmosphere and lots of energy where all attending members exchanged valuable insights on the region’s future development and potential collaborations through intriguing presentations and lively discussion.
Presently there are 11 network firms from Angola, Cape Verde, Egypt, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and UAE in the fast-growing Middle East and Africa region of Reanda International.
