On 20 September 2024, the Reanda International Southeast Asia and South Asia Regional Meeting 2024 was successfully concluded in Kathmandu, Nepal. Hosted by Mr. Bharat Rijal, Managing Partner of Reanda Nepal, Director of Reanda International and Vice-Regional President of the Southeast Asia and South Asia Region of Reanda International, this hybrid meeting brought together over 30 partners and personnel from the region, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, India, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand.
Mr. Huang Jinhui, Chairman of Reanda International delivered the welcome remarks through video conferencing. He highlighted Reanda International’s remarkable growth and outlined strategic development initiatives aimed at enhancing our global footprint. Mr. Franklin Lau, CEO of Reanda International, followed with an insightful overview of the regional network firms and shared the latest advancements and collaborative efforts within Reanda International. Mr. Koong Lin Loong, Managing Partner of Reanda Malaysia and Regional President of the Southeast Asia and South Asia Region of Reanda International shared significant updates and developments pertinent to the region.
The regional meeting centered around discussions on achieving long-term and sustainable growth. Network firms provided valuable feedback on the referral mechanism, the rise of artificial intelligence and technological advancements. Key topics also included ESG and sustainability, and international tax strategies.
A notable feature of the meeting was the collaboration between Reanda Nepal (IT Wing), Reanda Singapore and Reanda Thailand. Reanda Nepal (IT Wing) shall support in conducting the implementation of Information Technology General Controls (ITGC) Audits, Vulnerability Assessments (VA), Penetration Testing (PT), phishing awareness sessions, ISO 27001 certification, and updates to data protection policies and procedures. These initiatives are designed to foster new pathways for collaboration among member firms across Southeast Asia and South Asia. Another highlight of the regional meeting was the signing of the MoU on Membership Arrangement between Reanda International and the Indian firm N.K.S Chauhan & Associates, Chartered Accountants. It signifies Reanda International’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and expanding our reach in the South Asia region.
Network firms from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, and Thailand shared their firms’ exciting developments and opportunities in the region, further enriching the collaborative spirit of the meeting.
